Pidgin is an instant messaging program for Windows, Linux, BSD, and other Unixes. You can talk to your friends using AIM, ICQ, Jabber/XMPP, MSN, Yahoo!, and more.

Pidgin can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AIM, talking to a friend on Yahoo! Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time.

30	Account and Contacts sync It would be nice if Pidgin could store Account and Merged-duplicate-Contacts information on a server. Preferably mysql and/or ftp-xml. so that. User don't have to merge Duplicate contacts on each install of pidgin. just enter your server information on install and your settings will be synced.
